Established in 1985 by the locals, the Sussex Balloon Festival originated with local pilots taking visitors out to see the sites.  This festival has become so popular that hotels, motels, and even campgrounds sell out! When you're not in the air, there are plenty of activities and shops to explore.

With over 40 vendors, the stalls are bursting with locally grown food and handcrafted products! You can find seasonal produce, plants, jewelry, fresh seafood, meats, fresh breads, clothes, woodcrafts, and more!
