HIDDEN GEM

Cranberry Brook Loop

Take this 3.8-kilometre loop hike on the Fundy Trail Parkway to see beautiful vistas of the area, you'll be greeted by local flora and fauna signs posted along the way, giving you the perfect reason to stop and take a breather.

This strenuous hike will take you under the Mitchell Franklin Bridge by the Suspension Bridge Trail. You'll bypass the old Salmon River Road, go past the entrance to Hearst Lodge Trail on your left, and continue following the trail. You have to cross over the Parkway so make sure to look both ways! Continue to follow the trail and you will come to a 304-step cable ladder. After climbing down the ladder, you'll connect with the Fundy Footpath. Continue following the path until you loop back to the suspension bridge.

Martin Head Lookout

This is a favourite stop along the Fundy Trail Parkway! Take a look to the east and you'll see an amazing stretch of Fundy coastline and a beautiful view of Martin Head, a long stretch of gravel connected to a rocky head at the mouth of the Quiddy River.
