Sea Captains' Burial Ground

Follow the Sea Captains' Burial Ground Footpath and you'll find your way to two families burial plots. The Fownes and Melvin families were some of the original settler.  They were both big shipbuilding families, and captains that sailed all around the world including Europe, India, Africa, Australia and the Pacific coast of the United States. More than 45 are buried in the two restored cemeteries. Its about a 1km hike in total for a loop.
